All returns must have prior approval by the manufacturer and Ballentine and must be accompanied by the original invoice. A restocking fee, reconditioning fee and freight charges are applicable on returns.


  • Stocked smallwares must be returned within thirty (30) days, accompanied by the original invoice and must be in “new” condition, with all factory labels and packaging.
  • Special order smallwares are returnable only at the manufacturer’s discretion and are subject to freight and restocking charges.

Foodservice Equipment

All special-order items will require a deposit as determined by the manufacturer. Special order merchandise is returnable only at the manufacturer’s discretion and is subject to freight and restocking charges. Any changes, cancellations and / or returns not due to Ballentine or manufacturer’s error will require payment by the customer of restocking fees, cancellation charges and / or freight charges to and from the factory. Some items may not be eligible for return and will require full payment.


Delivery charges include un-crating and setting product in place. Delivery does not include installation or final connections.

Delivery, handling charges and installation charges are estimated based on Ballentine’s best information regarding the customer’s location and condition of the facility. Actual charges may vary when actual location and condition of facility are different.


All merchandise is covered by the standard manufacturer’s warranty. No other warranty exists except where otherwise noted. Ballentine disclaims all implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Ballentine shall not be liable for loss of food due to malfunctioning of refrigeration units or heating equipment.


Our standard warranty on used equipment is 30 days parts and labor. All service calls and service agencies utilized must be approved by Ballentine before a service can take place. Unauthorized service will cancel the warranty.
